AMC HALL OF FAMERS: Blight, Finnen, Warner with guests The Beggars
TRINITY SESSIONS PRESENTS IN ITS UNIQUE VENUE DAVE BLIGHT, CHRIS FINNEN AND TREV WARNER with the AMC Combo and special guests The Beggars Doors 7.30pm Music 8pm. Licensed bar from 7pm.
Dave Blight (Cold Chisel), Chris Finnen (guitar virtuoso) and Trev Warner (bluegrass fiddle, banjo and more) have all been inducted into the SA Music Hall of Fame and are returning to play at Trinity Sessions with a crack band, the AMC Combo. This is a concert you will not want to miss; some of Adelaide’s music royalty.
David Blight is without doubt Australia’s premier harmonica player. There aren’t too many people in Australia who are not familiar with the harmonica playing of David Blight. Every time you hear that favourite of Australia’s rock anthems, KHE SANH by Cold Chisel you will hear David’s distinctive harp lines weaving in and out behind Jimmy Barnes’ vocals. He was and still is Cold Chisels harp player of
choice and has recorded and toured with the band collectively and individually throughout the years.
Over four decades travelling as a troubadour journey man has seen Chris Finnen often referred to as the ‘guitarist’s guitarist’. Chris brings a wry twist to his original blues song writing, adding sly humour to lyrics, focusing on the musing of everyday experiences, and embracing a strong sense of community. “Chris Finnen is one of Australia’s most innovative guitarist. He took us down to the crossroads and off into space, from Delta Blues to Chicago, from Adelaide to Northern Australia via India and Africa.” Adelaide Review
Trev Warner has been an influential and inspriational part of Australia’s bluegrass scene since the 1960s. His dynamic and versatile style has seen him in demand on many recordings and his own recordings have won many awards includign a Golden Guitar at Tamworth; Trev himself has picked up a number of awards including three National Bluegrass Banjo Championships. A consumate professional who travels the world doing what he does best; entertain.
Special guests to warm you up before the main event will be The Beggarswhose distinct Australian sound has taken them to the top of the European country music charts and onto the stages of Europe andAustralia’s festivals and theatres.
