Join acclaimed Adelaide harpist and soprano Emma Horwood with Adelaide Symphony Orchestra Principal Percussionist Steve Peterka as they perform stunning Celtic music from around the world, linked by legends and stories. Emma will cast a magic spell of storytelling as she explores ancient Celtic hymns, beloved folk songs and contemporary Celtic music, accompanying her silvery soprano on harp, with a host of celestial percussion instruments to complete a unique soundscape. Emma Horwood – soprano and harp Emma is a music graduate of the University of Adelaide and is much in demand as a performer, teacher and choral conductor. A leading soprano soloist and ensemble singer in Adelaide, Emma is a member of the acclaimed Adelaide Chamber Singers, with whom she has toured internationally and performed at WOMAD, in the Coriole, Huntington Estate and Adelaide Festivals, live on ABC Classic FM and with the Rolling Stones. Emma presents frequent solo recitals, including performances in the Ngeringa and Elder Lunchhour concert series, with Adelaide Baroque and sell-out solo shows in the 2011 & 2013 Adelaide Fringe. Emma performs frequently as harpist and vocalist at weddings and functions and also enjoys private teaching and choral conducting. Emma has recorded five solo CD’s all featured on ABC Classic FM.
