AH HUM! – SABOREA LA VIDA
“Saborea La Vida” – “Taste Life” showcases the vital dance music styles that migrated from Cuba and Puerto Rico to New York City in the 40’s and 50’s, evolving into contemporary genres such as Nuyorican Soul and Latin-jazz.
Ah Hum! – Australian eleven-piece Latin sensation, features female vocalists/dancers, a dynamic horn section and three powerful percussionists, together with Nepalese bassist-band leader Chi Thapa and pianist-producer, Brendan Fitzgerald. These musicians hail from Chile, El Salvador, USA, Japan and Australia and have a wealth of international playing experience behind them.
Ah Hum! fuses driving rhythms, hot brass, saxophone, piano and bass in an exciting sound, lifting you to your feet with their infectious grooves of mambo, salsa and cha cha cha. Mixing jazz arrangements with percussive Afro-Cuban rhythms, this music cooks up a spicy mélange of sounds.
Come and party with Ah Hum! for a picante feast that will whet your appetite for more.
