A Hootenanny is where there’s no divide between you – the audience and the performers. Each Sunday you will be treated to unique, one off duets with the invited guests and the Borderers, plus you can bring your instruments and join in too. If you love singalongs & music sessions etc then it’s all here for you
An event where musicians can drop in and join us onstage, and that way it’ll also be different for you every week too.
Alex and I wanted to have a session after a gig, but couldn’t find anywhere applicable. We then thought why don’t we set one up ourselves. It’ll be free for musos, but there will be a small charge for the audience to come along.
http://www.theborderers.com.au “Where do you get your energy from?” are the words most commonly used to describe the band’s live stage show and what sets the BordererS apart from other bands is their ability to get the whole audience involved and to appeal to all age groups. Social justice and performing charity shows are a big priority for the BordererS, especially after losing their 18 year old son to suicide. The BordererS are also becoming well known in the USA & Europe and have just performed at the InterCeltique Festival in Lorient, France where 750,000 people attended this festival. The Borderers have been voted Best World Music act at the Musicoz Awards and Best Gospel song at the Independent Music Awards in the USA. They have also just been voted S.A.’s Best Band
