Singing in both English and Anindilyakwa (phonetically – annen-dilly-yark-wah), the traditional language of her home Groote Eylandt in the Northern Territory, playing guitar, keyboard and ukulele Emily Wurramara is both a prolific song-writer and multi-instrumentalist.
Corey Theatre
Corey Theatre a Gunditjmara/Gunai Singer Songwriter who calls Adelaide home, weaves a unique texture of musical influences to deliver a positive message. Blending the sounds of Blues and Soul with a touch of Reggae flavour, he creates an uplifting, soulful groove. Corey is a roots artist of the truest kind – drawing on both his Koori and European Backgrounds; he is a strong believer in the power of language and its use in music. Corey is currently in the process of recording his first album, a collaborative journey of language revival and musical expression
Vonda Last
Vonda Last is a Wongai woman with over 25 years musical experience as a songwriter and performer. Central to her work in community music has been the revival of Indigenous languages, and its maintenance through composition of contemporary music. To put it simply, Vonda is a divine vocalist and lyrical wordsmith, whose music connects soulfully with her audiences.
