Glen Scuthorpe Band & Alana Jagt

With six highly-regarded albums and music featured in movies and documentaries such as The Emu Runner and John Pilger’s Utopia, Nhunggabarra, Kooma man and international touring singer-songwriter Glenn Skuthorpe is a powerful lyricist and composer who gives voice to those whose stories must be heard.
A compelling performer whose playing style is captivating, engaging audiences in the stories behind his journeys. Glenn has performed on stages big and small with some living legends in his career including Buffy Sainte-Marie, Steve Earle, Tex Perkins, Kev Carmody, Archie Roach, Rory McLeod, Michelle Shocked, Buddy Miller and Mary Gauthier. Glenn will be joined on the main stage with Enrico Morena (Drums), Anthony Pak Poy (Bass) and Lainie Jamieson (Keys).
With his seventh album on the way following a string of highly successful tours (Byron Bay Blues Fest, Woodford, The Gulf Country Frontier Days Festival, Cygnet, Calgary and Edmonton Folk Festivals) including 2020’s recent successful online streams for Woodfordia Artists (Woodford Folk), Meeanjin Markets Virtual Festival and the Broome Saltwater Festival, prepare for an infusion of genres with vibes of dirty street blues to open plains and wide open skies.
Performing with special guest Alana Jagt
Jagt’s captivating rasp soars over her blend of stormy alt-country and folk-rock noir that’s refreshing yet somehow familiar – it’s the sound of a thousand lonely AM radios one Sunday afternoon but exactly where and when is a mystery.
In early 2019 Alana released her next single ‘Imagining Life’ and has since enjoyed support slots with acts as diverse as Ali Barter, Mojo-Juju, Thelma Plum, Ella Hooper, Henry Wagons and Archie Roach, as well as performing at acclaimed Australian festivals, including Bigsound, Porchland, and Dashville Skyline.
