Kristy Cox, Weeping Willows, Travis List – Australian Tour

Kristy Cox is the new voice in Australian bluegrass. Adored for her youthful energy infused bluegrass, she has been awarded with radio success and accolades for her talent. Recently signing with bluegrass label Mountain Fever, Kristy is set to release her brand new album ‘Ricochet’ at the beginning of 2018. Her latest release ‘Part of Me’ was nominated for three 2017 Australian Country Music Awards for Female Artist of the Year, Bluegrass Recording of the Year and Alternate Country Album of the Year, and saw her take home her second Australian Country Music Award for her track ‘Another Weary Mile’. The first was for her single ‘One Heartbreak Away’ from her 2015 album ‘Living For the Moment.’

With a string of number 1 hits on Radio and Country Music Television in Australia, Kristy has also been making headway on the USA bluegrass charts. Both her album and singles charting throughout 2016 on the National Bluegrass Chart, the Bluegrass Today single and album chart and the Sirius XM Bluegrass radio most played list, the success seeing her booked for many festivals across the USA including the highly acclaimed Merlefest.

Kristy Cox stepped it up a notch with the release of ‘Part Of Me.’ (2016). The album was recorded between Nashville TN and Arden, NC, with returning producer Jerry Salley. It features a stellar line up of seasoned acoustic musicians who bring to life the eleven songs, five written by Kristy; including the cracking bluegrass tune ‘I’m No Stranger To This Lonesome Road’ and heartfelt tribute to her family ‘Young Love Never Grows Old.’

Credited for her performance and song writing capabilities, Golden Guitar winner Kristy has been shortlisted in the International Bluegrass Music Awards the past four years for New Artist of the Year. From a young age, Kristy has captured attention with her distinct singing style and positive outlook, seeing her go on to open shows for major acts and appearing on Television and major Festivals across Australia, Europe and the USA, including an official showcase at the International Bluegrass Music Convention in the USA in 2015.

The Weeping Willows, Laura Coates and Andrew Wrigglesworth, are a couple of old souls, steeped in Bluegrass tradition and draped in Gothic Americana imagery. They regale their audiences with stories of sunshine and romance, God and The Devil, murder and decay. Real music.
2015-2017 saw The Weeping Willows nominated for 4 x CMAA ‘Golden Guitar’ awards, 4 x Country Music Channel (CMC) awards, supporting Iris DeMent, Kinky Friedman, Hayes Carll, Eilen Jewell, Shane Nicholson and Bill Chambers and completing a national tour in support of their sophomore album, Before Darkness Comes A-Callin’ (2016), which received four-star reviews in Rolling Stone, The Australian and The Music.

Over the years Australian country music has produced some great voices but not all have embraced the path of the new traditionalist like Travis List. Hailing from South Australia, now a Nashville resident, Travis List has soon become known as one of Australia’s premier male country artists. His songs resonate with authenticity, his voice holds its own with the best of them, and his live shows leave fans remembering why they first fell in love with country music. His main influences range from his father, a true Australian balladeer, Ian List to Merle Haggard and Slim Whitman. Travis perfectly demonstrates what a modern country ought to sound like, thoroughly contemporary yet completely country.
Growing up in One Tree Hill in South Australia, Travis has been performing on stage since the age 7 first touring with the family band and later had success touring with his sister for 5 years
