Wheatsheaf Hotel Thebarton
Geroge St Thebarton
“Max Savage and Abbie Cardwell are two musicians who blend history, memory, time and place with rich analogue tone and songs of heartache, loss and home.
Joining forces for one of only a handful of Adelaide shows in 2017, the two will grace the stage of the legendary Wheatsheaf Hotel on Sunday, April 9th for what promises to be a truly special afternoon.
Max Savage has been a staple in the Adelaide music scene for the better part of a decade, bringing rock and roll swagger to a mongrel blend of country, blues, soul and rock steeped in the sound of quiet cul de sacs, blue asbestos and hissing summer lawns.
Abbie Cardwell is a truly international artist with a swag of award-winning records under her belt and appearances with the likes of Casey Chambers, Xavier Rudd and Tony Joe White. Her music blends folk, country and Americana with the sweeping deserts of Mexico sung with banjo, ukelele, guitar and harp.”
