Memories of Brazil

We can’t travel, but we can dream. Join Shelley and Daniel for a summer evening of blissful Bossa Nova and Brazilian popular music (MPB), as they reminisce about Brazil. Performed by Shelley Dunstone (vocal) and Daniel Gosling (guitar) in the elegant atmosphere of Ayers House Ballroom.

Daniel is from Brazil (Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais), while Shelley is an Adelaide cabaret performer who is addicted to all things Brazilian. She has a particular affection for the music of the 1960’s. In October 2016 Shelley travelled to Brazil and performed with Brazilian friends at the iconic nightclub venue “Beco das Garrafas” (“Bottles Alley”) in Copacabana, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. This was the top place for Bossa Nova artists to perform in the 1960s.
