In celebration and recognition for African Union Day, The Hope Of Africa Productions invites you to enjoy an evening of Indigenous African Acrobatic Dancing and Afrobeat/Afro reggae Music. Instruments like the Kora, Djembe, African Drums, Flute, Xylophone and percussion alongside western instruments will entertain you with original roots music and visual displays of African fashion, jewellery and textiles as we share our love of culture and peace. A light supper of traditional African food will also be served on the night and Bar facilities will be available for purchase of beverages.
RAS MINANO & The Hope of Africa Band:
Hailing from Ghana West Africa, Ras Minano is an accomplished and internationally recognized Afro reggae/Afro beats and World Music Artist. He is also a drummer, percussionist, singer, composer and songwriter. His honest, earthy lyrics, infectious beats and uplifting rhythms have captivated audiences worldwide. Ras is powered by his band The Hope Of Africa, a 10 -14 member ensemble and together they perform Ras original Afro reggae/Afro beat/World Music compositions to bring you big sounds all original music.
Ras Minano has achieved international recognition with his music, winning the USA New York 2021 WAM Silver Award for Reggae/World Music Song of the Year with his song ’WOMBA’ from the EP titled ‘WOMBA.’ In 2020,Ras won the USA New York WAM Golden Award for the Reggae/World Music Song of the Year with his song ‘AFRICA OSEEYEII’ from his third album titled ‘REAL RASTA’ produced and released in Adelaide in 2020.
The Hope of Africa Band Adelaide is a collective of awesome, talented Adelaide based musicians and together they bring World Music to the stage performing Ras Minano’ eclectic mix of original songs and trademark Afro beat/Afro reggae, funk and jazz sounds.
