The Beggars sing The Seekers
The Beggars Sing The Seekers follows The Seekers from the Melbourne cafe scene in 1962 to London, the swinging centre of the pop universe where The Seekers rode a rollercoaster of hits and climaxing in the 1968 BBC TV special Farewell The Seekers, watched by millions. All the hits are here “I’ll Never Find Another You”, “The Carnival is Over”, “Morningtown Ride” and, of course, “Georgie Girl”, faithfully re-produced, alongside The Beggar’s originals and rollicking standards.
Stuart, Renee and Quinton met in 2003 at an audition in Adelaide. In 2006 the three of them decided to form The Beggars and record their own songs. Songs from their first two albums caught the ears of European DJs and put The Beggars on the charts across the E.U. with The Banjo Song going to the number one spot. Their third Album Australian Songbook launched them on the Australian concert circuit. The band now has 5 albums. They have made 4 tours of Europe and become a regular feature on the Australian touring circuits. See Less
