The Black Diamond Roots Band + Tin Can Alley + Alana Jagt

The Black Diamond Roots Band

A ragtag conglomerate of hillbillies, shutdown boilermakers and their offspring, musicians all, have produced a product permeated with the ghosts and styling of the past; powered by a fiercely original thread, and presented with pure intent.

Songs and Music of musings from a colourful life……..this is dirt music, from the cracks in iron and steel.

Songs of family struggle and love, scrapings of the spoils of war and continental relocation, this is passion, angst, melancholy, joy. a sense of place, a knowing of home. The black diamonds are those you will find in the dust.

Tin Can Alley

Recently returned from the Memphis International Blues Challenge, Tin Can Alley are a duo based in Adelaide Australia, formed in 1989. Both Cliff and Jacqy were successful buskers who shared a love of music from the early part of the 20th century. They have toured Europe, India, America and Australia. Their infectious love and lust for music shines through in their performances.

Alana Jagt

Alana Jagt’s dynamic rasp soars over her blend of stormy folk-rock noir that’s refreshing yet somehow familiar, it’s the sound of a thousand lonely AM radios one Sunday afternoon but exactly where and when is a mystery. Live she performs powerful, vocal-led solo affairs; playful trio shows; and with her six piece twin guitar rock band.

In early 2019 Alana released her next single ‘Imagining Life’ and has since enjoyed support slots with acts as diverse as Ali Barter, Mojo-Juju,Thelma Plum, Ella Hooper, Henry Wagons and Archie Roach, as well as performing at acclaimed Australian festivals, including Bigsound, Porchland, and Dashville Skyline.
